Thoughts and thankyous

I think one of the most important things we learn from pregnancy is not to take your health for granted, and I'm not talking about morning sickness here. I'm thinking of how lovely it would be to be able to sit, stand or walk without pain. I'm so very thankful that in 11 weeks or so it will all be over and whilst the sleep deprivation bit will begin, the joint pain will stop and I just can't wait. Right now I am very glad that this is short term; I cannot imagine what it must be like to live in this kind of pain every day for years on end...

Thank you all very much for your kind comments on the dreaded cold lurgy going round. It is getting better - the FB is back to sleeping in his own bed at night, and my lungs are only occasionally doing orchestral impersonations, however, much to MrV's disappointment, the snoring has not improved!

Hear hear, I couldn't agree more. I hope the 11 weeks passes quickly.

Glad to hear the cold's on it's way out and you're feeling better!

Glad you are feeling better.
I now have arthritis, so live with that pain now. There are drugs to take for the pain, but of course not when you are pregnant.
It seems nature made a few mistakes in the design somehow, when it causes such pain during 'natural' pregnancy!

Ah yes, I remember the old "I don't care how you get this baby out, just get it out." Though I don't handle exhaustion well, so that was followed quickly by, "Ack, put him back in! Just put him back in!" The 2nd time around was easier, though. Here's hoping you breeze through the next 11 weeks and get a sleeper!

I hope Mr V. is not complaining about the snoring, in the face of your pain and discomfort!!

Only 11 weeks to go? Eleven. Weeks. Just as well the cold has nearly gone...

Sorry to hear of your cold. There always has to be something of the sort during pregnancy - like you said - just when you thought you couldn't feel any worse.

I wore a pelvic brace - a bit of thick material with velcro straps for tightening really - to avoid some joint pain. Is this an option for your pain?

Sorry to see you have been sick Velcro! Glad to hear you are getting better though!

Those 11 weeks will fly by. The warmer weather is on its way to you now, so hopefully no more colds or flu this year for you all!

I was one of those people who thrive on pregnancy, and tall to boot, so sympathise with you shorter ladies who get all cramped up when there in a little one occupying that tiny space in there.....Chin up, K. Before you know it you'll be holding the Peanut in your arms and cooing at him!

MrsT I thought you might agree - my pregnancy niggles pale into comparison beside yours!

Meggie I don't know how you cope with that pain. It's horrible.

Liz, I've heard that second time is easier. And ouch to putting the baby back!

Stomper, MrV is as always, the epiteme of selflessness and never complains about my snoring.

Nutmeg thankyou for that advice. I'm going to look for one. I've also heard of a few treatments which I am looking into.

Aunty you're back again! You were missed.

Molly, I never imagined you were tall! Theis is not a little one in there. He's measuring a week large for dates already and this is the growing time. Eek.

I hope the days fly by and you have less-than-usual final days discomfort.
