Today it's our wedding anniversary(flowers, fruit, linen or electrical appliances depending on what website you read). Actually the electrical appliances one is quite fitting as MrV bought me the second series of West Wing. I got series one for Christmas and only really started watching it at the beginning of the week but am very much hooked.
Preperations for the move are going pretty well. Ok the house now resembles a very badly organised charity shop (specialising to my shame in diet coke cans and bottles) but all the relevant utilities companies have been contacted.
The Count has been rather naughty of late and refusing to sleep all day until the early hours of the morning; he feels he would much rather stay awake and scream for hours on end. Where is the mute button when you need it?

Happy Anniversary! And hope all goes well with the move. Maybe you could point out to The Count that Bad Babies HAVE BEEN KNOWN to get Lost in Transit...
Happy Anniversary.
The back half of our house always resembles a badly organised charity shop.
In Chez My Float, the mute button was known by the more common name of "a dummy", or "a pacifier" as they say in the States.
Who cares about the dentists' bills?!
Happy anniversary. Enjoy the West Wing, it's a great show.
Happy Anniversary!
Oh the roller coaster of motherhood- & babyhood.
We have to get the whole house recarpeted.. which is Yay!
But the flipside is... all my 'stuff' ....booo
Happy anniversary!
Like my float, we went with the dummies as mute button too.
Actually came in handy for teething too - a dummy straight from the fridge was just the thing for the sore gums. These days I've even seen the u-shaped ones with the little nodules so they can ease the gums towards the back of the mouth too.
Happy Anniversary, a great deal has happened since my last visit.I have spent a few minutes catching up. The grand news is the arrival of your sweet Peanut, who by the way is very cute. And now, you are moving. That must be a huge event for a family with a new baby.
The mute button's in that box. No? Must be that one. The one over there?
Moving is hell. Happy anniversary anyway.
Happy Anniversary! You are celebrating in all kinds of ways, moving, packing, new baby...wouldn't it have been easier just to go out to dinner? :)
Happy belated anniversary. Re the baby problem - just take his battery out. Problem solved.
Would you like a couple of manic kittens to add to your problems?
Keep smiling!
I think you'll find it in his mouth, somewhere in the vicinity of his tongue....
Oh, and happy Anniversary!
Belated happy anniversary Velcro and Mr V!
Little Miss T's mute button is being swaddled. This little piece of miracle engineering hasn't failed to soothe her....yet.
Which area are you moving to?
PS - thanks for the congrats on the profile. As it happened my uterine membranes took over 24 hrs to pop and they did so all over a doctor as she was seeing how far dilated I was, haha.
alas the Count, like the FB before him, is not that interested in dummies. We've tried, they get spat out, we give up.
Isabelle, MrV said NO MORE CATS
MrsT, have never worked out swaddling. Am very glad to hear that LittleMissT made it out safely and that she is a calm peaceful baby. Long may the swaddling work!
Good timing on waterbreaking! Much better than mine which seem to favour breaking at night.
Moving to Wallington, on Friday arghh!
PS you're welcome!
Hope all goes well with the move. 2000 books - did you cull any in the boxing process?
Yes - naughty count. I would recommend that old English remedy of a teaspoon of gin - well it seemed to work on the babies in Sarah Waters' Fingersmith. But we've moved on from those times haven't we? ha ha. Though I'm sure your sleep deprivation is no laughing matter!
And I love The West Wing. I have just started to watch season 6 - only one season to go :-(
Well, where are you then? Come on, it's not like you have anything to do! :)
Waiting here for the full blown horror post of the move!
Hope the Count has settled, & all is well with you??
Happy belated anniversary.
I hope you are all moved in and unpacked by now.
