Do you remember many months ago, in November, I wrote about how the staircase was coming away from the wall? Well that seems to have halted, possibly because I got freaked out at 3am one night and shifted around 100 books; but now the centre of the shelf that runs along the side of the staircase as it reaches the loft, has sunken in...
If I was a landlord there is no way I'd rent a property to me, not unless it was being flattened afterwards.
(Taxes filed and paid. Hurrah!)

Sorry, but I laughed.
Does that make me bad?
Aha, lots of books (presumably) - books have their own mass mathematics and therefore are heavier than they would look.. trust me, I know what I'm talking about here! (have still got 8 boxes in my parents loft I need to find somewhere to put.. soon)
I've taken your advice and starting letting go of some of my books. I may regret it at a later date but . . .
And got my tax return filed a couple of days ago, and the computer says they owe me money! Yippee!
Laughed.
Then felt afraid.
Are you sure that is a safe place for you & your children??
A staircase coming away from the wall?
That doesn't sound good.
Maybe you need to suggest that the landlord does something about these areas of deconstruction?
Yay on the taxes though :)
Huh. I bet the landlord hasn't provided you with anything like a home beautiful that would make it a pleasure to be a good tenant. Seeing as they charge outrageous sums for really very ordinary properties I think they should be happy to get tenants like me or you. A few paint sploshes, some curtains destroyed by kittens, a slightly broken staircase? Pffff.
That staircase sounds scary - you do know they have to provide safe accomodations for you, don't you ?
Get them over ASAP.
And if it IS your fault, deny it.
Sounds like your landlord should have some standards regarding what is safe habitation for homo sapiens and lil h.sapiens. His present standards would be fine----if he was renting to illiterate chimpanzees.....
Ah, you are a book fan too?
I'd rent to you were I a landlord.
I'm worried about you, I'll try to call you later xxx
