Ahh bliss...silence. MrV is away for the weekend and First Born is in his bed (and so far has not fallen out), and I have the livingroom to myself apart from the cats who are lurking about somewhere.
The weather has suddenly changed. We've been lucky up to now and had beautiful autumnal weather, I think like the rest of the Northern Hemisphere; and now it is baltic. And I keep forgetting this and going out without my warm winter coat or even a jumper, and then freezing my arse off. And trying to keep a coat on First Born is almost impossible - it must be the Scottish blood in him!

While here, of course, it is getting warmer by the day. The cicadas came out last night, daylight saving started last weekend, my Pea Princess' school has them back in swimming lessons...
It was lovely to have you visit my blog and I agree with you on the fleeting state of balance.
I like your posts here and will be visiting again (and you should really consider the possibility of life in Australia... I've never seen a great white shark, from land, sea or air!!!)
Hi Velcro, thanks for visiting my blog. I thought I would come over and "check you out". You are a newbie at this like me it would seem. I am fast becoming addicted to airing my soul on a blog site. I have enjoyed reading you so far, so I will come back often. I also hope you will visit me again some time!
PS. I am in Sydney, Australia, and like Bec, I too have never seen a great white in real life, only in the Sydney Aquarium. So to avoid them, don't go to the aquarium! Come on over, the weather is fine!
Yes, and I'm Jess of the North over here, where around me things are dripping and slowly going colder and colder...
(just kidding. Nova Scotia is probably about par with your climate. But really, the Aussies are rubbing it in.)
Let me know if you make (and like!)the soup!
and last night I dreamt of great white sharks, mind you they were the size of large trout but they were in a feeding frenzy..on a beach. yup that's right ON the beach. ughhh.
