Ranulph Fiennes eat your heart out

Over the past two days I have accomplished feats of great daring do that Ranulph Fiennes would scarse believe possible...

Firstly I scaled Mount Wardrobe's eastern side equipped only with a chair. At the summit I was set upon by numerous dust bunnies and lint imps but fought them off uncovering a vast treasure of toddler clothes, christmas decorations and the prize - a bracket to attach a CD rack to the wall in the livingroom. Now MrV has something to keep him occupied over the long Easter weekend. An avalanche was neatly avoided when the stand for the moses basket disappeared down the western slope of Mount Wardrobe and then lodged itself firmly in a cervice between the mountain and bedroom wall.

Yesterday I took on the Great Sideboard of Junk and cleared out masses of stuff. Admittedly a lot of it is sitting in plastic bags in the corner but once the baby clothes and nappies, wraps, liners etc are out from under the bed the older clothes can slot neatly or messily under.

Today it is the turn of The Caverns beneath the Bed, a place to where only the most intrepid of explorers dare descend.

Nest, nest, nest!

I hope no Sherpas were harmed in the course of your derring-do.

I know! Though in truth I am still sitting on the couch wracked with fear rather than face the trolls that live in the Caverns.

Stomper I carried my own equipment so no sherpas needed.

Stomper Girl is right. Somebody's nesting!

I remember scrubbing the shower with a toothbrush.

Don't do it!! Send hubby instead.

My nesting involved hacking down shrubs in the garden. The neighbours had actually started boiling water!

GET DOWN OFF THAT CHAIR RIGHT NOW!!!!
Bad, bad Velcro :(
At least you can't fall any lower than The Caverns. Although, there may be Orcs. Watch yourself.

Thanks for visiting. I am returning the call. I don't know you very well but I have to be familiar and say...
Oh my goodness! Did your family have a fit knowing that you had reached such an altitude?

Good luck with your spelunking expedition!

It definitely does sound like you're nesting. I don't recall doing any nesting myself, though at the end of my pregnancy, we had tradies everywhere redoing our bathroom/toilet. There would have been no point in cleaning at that stage since the dust would immediately resettle on the clean areas 2 minutes later.

I am not going to lecture you on standing on a chair, as I am guilty of being up a ladder at 41 weeks, painting the nursery (last minute is so chic!). But do put into place the necessary tools to enable you to get upright after exploring the under-the-bed-caverns, because there is a real danger of getting stuck down there when you're 33 weeks gone.

You're nesting early! I don't remember it hitting me so early!

Keep safe. I don't want to hear of a pregnant woman being buried by an avalanche on Mount Wardrobe!

Did you remember to plant a flag at the top of Mt. Wardrobe? This could be an omen! My youngest was due on 28 th April . Around the 5th. I went bananas cleaning leaves out from window wells, ignoring the cautionary shouts from neighbours. Two days later he was born......

Oh no not the Caverns Under The Bed, and the great Fluff and Dust Monsters that guard the Long Forgotten Treasure that has rolled under the bed!! I hope you survived.
