Still Here

Alas the expedition to the Caverns under the Bed failed to take place last Thursday. I did my chores, made some phone calls then stood up to begin the task ahead of me and CRAACKK my hip went. Since then it has been very touchy and quick to take offense at the slightest hint of walking or indeed spelunking (fab word that).

Oh and no baby yet. He's turned himself around into starting position but nothing happening there either. Never mind eh, 6 weeks to go

Ouch! Not good. It was probably a reaction to the altitude when you climbed Mount Wardrode.

But glad the Peanut is head-down, always helpful.

No more spelunking for you then. Hope you are not too uncomfortable. The last few weeks always seem to suck.

Tell them you want extra pain killers when you go into labor.

I don't think I can comment on this one because I don't know what spelunking is...

and re New Tricks! I'm so torn about asking what happened. It's just that it ended on such a dark note / cliffhanger. And I was so worried about Jack. But I don't want to spoil it for myself...
So I'm just going to ask: was it good? and was it still funny?

damn that altitude sickness angelfeet.

not too uncomfortable as i got crutches today hurrah! now i can poke MrV and the FB when i need them to do something for me

more painkillers? not sure that is possible!

spelunking is caving, just a nicer word, though it does sound as if it should be carried out by witches.
New Tricks...it was good and very dark rather than funny

So glad it was just your hip (although that sounds hideously painful too) and not a tragic caverning accident. Perhaps save the spelunking for sometime in the very distant future?

not possible fairlie - most of the baby's clothes and hopefully some wooden pram toys we bought a few years back in Germany, are hiding under the bed and I need them out of there.

Six weeks is an impossible long time at the end of a pregnancy (sorry to mention that), but poking loved ones with crutches sounds like a hobby to make the time go faster!

Ouch, I know that feeling when parts of your body start to fail! Seems like your little one is getting ready for the big adventure, speaking of spelunking!

A great reason to be a lady of complete leisure for the last few weeks of your pregnancy. You're not going to get much downtime in 6 weeks time.

Now feet up, large bar of Lindt Extra Creamy chocolate at the ready, deep breath...relax!

Yes just lie back & poke with the crutches! Get Mr V to go spelunking for you?

why are you announcing "no baby yet"??

Are you expecting there to be one already?

Keep your knees together as long as you can!

I'd take Mrs Thistletwat's advice if I were you! Wouldn't mind taking it myself (cept I'm not pregnant so I'd just be labeled as lazy).

I love the sound of the word spelunking :)

You could lie one your side next to the caverns and fish things out with your crutches? When my MIL had her hip replacement they gave her a fantastic reaching contraption (she was supposed to use it to pull up her socks I think? but it came in handy in so many other ways).

Liz the FB is desperate for one of those so he can use it to pick his toys off the floor!

Caramaena am taking her advise as I type. The washing is still in the washing machine and the box of vegies still has to be unpacked

Aunty there was some speculation that this whole mountaineering etc was nesting which means the baby is very imminent. As it is I suspect he will be late.

Meggie I shall have to wrestle the crutches back off the FB who is rather fascinated by them.

MrsT if we could make that either Milka with nuts or Dairy Milk or a big box of chocs then you're on.

MF I take it very personally when bits of my body start to fail and feel that they really ought to pull themselves together and just get on with whatever they are supposed to be doing.

Tracey, am thinking quick, flighty thoughts, that 6 weeks will shoot by in a flash.
