Perhaps not a good idea

it seems adding balsamic vinegar to chickpea soup does not work. i thought it tasted ok, MrV was suddenly too full to eat his dinner, and the shortarse refused to touch it despite the chickpeas. I felt like the mother from My Family! So note to self get over this compulsion (craving?) to add balsamic vinegar to everything; noone else likes it.
tonight we are having chicken stirfry and i'll make sure only soy sauce goes in.

The cross stitch seems to be going really well. I'm almost finished the peacock's tail now. I suppose i should really start creating my own designs but well i can't be bothered.

any suggestions on how to cure a toddler of whining, constantly. he never gets what he wants when he whines but he still does it and it is driving me up the wall.

Lord, if you find out, please share the knowledge - my five year old is suddenly whining up a storm. And I can't grit my teeth much longer!

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. I do live in a pretty place - it's also the back-end of beyond, so it's a love/hate thing with me.....

The whining? Well, you say calmly "Try again, in a pleasant voice please."

Of course, if that doesn't work you nag or yell. For years ...

we're trying the whole "I can't hear whining little boys, would you mind repeating that in your normal voice please". Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
