Ahhh so cute and tiny! Did he really wear them once?

We got the FB's baby clothes out of the loft at the weekend in preperation for the arrival of the Peanut. Yes, I know he's not due for another 14 weeks but MrV was prepared to go into the loft on Saturday and who knows the next time he would be willing to go up there. Anyway, the clothes are down and sitting in the corner of the bedroom waiting to be washed and put away except that we don't have anywhere to put them. At present we don't actually even have space to park the Peanut let alone his clothes so I fear that at some point in the next 3 months we are going to have to have another radical clear out. The hard bit is that most of the clutter is infact baby and toddler clothes that have been put aside to be used again and I don' t want to chuck them out and buy new ones. But something has to go, the space under the bed is jampacked, and the top of the wardrobe is so heavily overloaded that it has a rather scary lean now.

It amazes me, almost daily, how different this pregnancy is from the FB's. At this point with him I couldn't walk up hills, found most sleeping positions very painful, and could only walk for very short periods of time. There has been so much less pain this time round not only because my hips failed to do the whole dislocating thing, but also there's been no round ligament pain, pelvic or back pain. Hurrah!

Hurrah indeed! I can still remember that terrible back & ligament pain! They say your forget, but I havent.
The storage problem.... what is needed are nets or something strung from the ceilings haha.

It is odd how each pregnancy is different.

When I went into labor with my third, I thought it was gas pains.

Needless to say, I did not get to the hospital in time for an epidural!

I have no solutions for storage, except possibly moving, which I know you've contemplated but not yet. As for pregnancy pains, my second was worse than the first in terms of discomfort, so I'm very glad that you have it slightly easier this time round, even if you don't get to rest with a toddler!

When I got out the old baby clothes most of them were yellow or green with mildew! That will teach me for putting them under our house - wasn't thinking too clearly about the humuidity under there as we live on top of a seeping rock! Sounds like yours came out in better condition.

And a less painful pregnancy than the first - what a relief. Mine unfortunately was the other way around.

All sounds good ! :)

Can you get those space bag thingies - where you throw all the clothes into the plastic bag, suction all the air out with a vaccuum, and apparently they squish down to nothing, thus increasing storage space heaps.

I wouldn't want to be throwing out perfectly good clothes too. I guess if this is your last though (?), you can 'rid as you go' of the littler pieces ?

Good luck !

We did a major cleaning of baby clothes, and had a garage sale. I did keep what I knew my next would need for sure. Onesies, tops and bottoms, and Pj's. I know I wont have time once the next one arrives! Good Luck to you!

Carolyn your labour is up there with my gran's as something I aspire to. My gran had only 2 or 3 contractions before giving birth.

Meggie, hmm nets strung from the ceiling. The cats would love that!

Angel we are definately moving now. Did you see the 10 o'clock news last night? 3 teenagers shot dead in S London in 12 days! Kent is starting to look rather attractive

Nutmeg I was rather surprised when the clothes came out of the loft to find that they were in such good condition. I was pretty sure that they would have been turned into a mouse nest by now but they seem to be fine, just so tiny. This of course did not stop the FB from trying to put the trousers on.

h&b got them. Have booked time in MrV's schedule to have him help me drag all the vacuum bags out from under the bed to see what stuff is in them and sort them out into ages. It should have been done when we put stuffed the bags in the first place I know.

Probably not last one. I would like a daughter so I have an excuse to buy a doll's house. FB not interested at all in them only railways.

Hello Alexandra. Good luck when yours comes too!

Lucky you! At least it gives us hope that the second one will be better. But then I've screamed at Mr T so many times that he's never coming near me again after this one that I'll never live it down if I want another!

We rented a storeshed from the Council, only about a pound a week and already that's overflowing with stuff before we start buying baby stuff. Car boot sales here we come!

Yay for no round ligament pain!

Good luck with finding space.

But I wanted that epidural real bad. :)

I made a total ass of myself screaming, "Get it out!"

I decided that they weren't taking my pain seriously and screamed at the top of my lungs then demanded that they got a stanley knife and cut him out.

Ow to that last comment Velcro!

As for storage space, MDH and I still have a constant battle finding places for stuff, and there's only the two of us!

I don't think it matters how big the place is you live in, you will fill it with proportionate amount of junk.
