It's not easy being green

We are experiencing a plague of frogs in our home at present. The little buggers keep turning up in the most unlikely places, a yellow one in the bathroom, a red one in the bedroom and at one point two of them were chilling out on top of the freezer. The FB is in playchef mode. He likes to pretend to cook the frogs, present them to you then whisk them away and hurl them down the stairs. Which explains why there has been a green one hanging out amid the tangle of wellies, trike and scooter.

Frogs I can handle, but did you have to include in the photo that creepy looking spider thingy?

Ugh.

Did it just for you Aunty!

(it's only got 6 legs though so you're ok)

I was imagining real ones! Until I saw the photo....

Whatever gave the FB the idea of cooking them?!
I was so glad they weren't real ones.

Too cute! He's a toddler after my own heart, I was always pretending to cook things when I was little, my signature dish was mud pies served in old plant pots, and of course everybody had to pretend to eat it. Yum!

Meggie, he loves cooking and baking. In fact he owes me a chocolate cake with a strawberry on top. Shall have to remind him of this tomorrow...

MrsT I was so intrigued by mudpies when I was a kid. Alas my backgarden was desert and not the best place to make them. Very good though for building pretend moonrockets and den houses.

We have frogs in abundance at our place too. I don't mind, but my little guy's pronunciation is dangerously close to the f*** word, and that could be a bit embarrassing if someone overheard and didn't know of what he was speaking!

We have those exact same frogs here! We had to get two packets - 1 each of course. Ours are from the zoo shop - which is hard to avoid as they make you exit through the damned shop!

Anyway, the darling lost her yellow one and it refused to "turn up". I was gardening later and saw a tiny body dead amongst the flowers and thought poor little frog. But on closer inspection it was the missing stretchy plastic yellow one. But now it was all brown - as you know they are sticky too. So now we call it the "speckled frog"!

many is the time I have been relieved that people don't understand what the FB is saying, for example when he went through his "fucking hell" stage. MrV and I knew what he was saying but noone else did.

Nutmeg ours are similarly coated in sand from the FB's indoor sandpit. Perhaps a pretend breadcrumb coating?
