The Bump is still on foot, however! It was always a miracle to me at the end of pregnancy that I could actually stand and not fall flat on my face from the size of the bump in front of me. Not much longer now...

You're looking a healthy shade of pink there Velcro, and still smiling!

Liz, it's not visible in the picture but the size of the bump is neatly balanced by the size of my bum.

It's all that gorgeous sunshine MrsT making me that pink, and the smile? Through gritted teeth I assure you.

Just repeat to yourself - less trouble in than out.

So you look like a smiling kidney?
Hmm, not at all how I'd pictured you....

(snicker)

I feel for you, honey. The last bit is the WORST.

woweeee! only 22 days to go, don't time fly when I am not around every day to see your counter!

Can you still move independently? Or does it require a driver and six horses??

21 days! The end is in sight...

That's one big smile for such a large bump!

Thank goodness for the internet then or you would have serious cabin fever.

Keep smiling Little Miss Knocked-Up.

I'm officially Little Miss Pathetic now because I just went to the website to work out which Mister Man that was.

Couldn't you just roll? Much easier than waddling. The reflexology is good for the elephant feet.

Hang in there. I have a client with twins and they are determined to stay in utero, even at 38 + weeks. The consultant reckons each of the babes is 8 lb!

Oooh yes, I forgot about the pregnancy ballast -- the big bum it serves a purpose!

no, no driver and six horses needed fortunately but i am regreting not asking the council for the ski lift up to the FB's nursery now. Uphill is so hard!

And the bump really is about that size (in relation to the rest of me), and unfortunately attracts quite a few stares and rather unkind comments including one lout who shouted abuse about my belly out his car window.

Angelfeet. I am in awe of your client. How is she coping with 16lbs of baby inside? That must be hell. I hope for her sake that they make an appearance soon.

Stomper, you mean you don't have to read Mr Men books every night to your boys. Lucky lucky you!

Hang in there! Or should that be, hang out? Even fake smiles are good by then!

Oh Velcro - hang in there. Were you "on time" last time? This baby could be coming early!

i'm rooting for early....that "termina;l pregnancy stage is no fun. Although part of me is saying "here, here!" to ali's comment...

Well, I do sympathise, but on the other hand you're going to have a lovely little (or possibly big...) baby and that will be SO LOVELY! I'm permanently broody, which is very sad at my age. If you ever come to Edinburgh and want a babysitter... You might not get the baby back, though (evil laugh...). No, actually, my husband would insist. Sigh.

Bumps that big are good for sitting the dinner plate on while you eat, really!

And people that say rude things about it, too bad you're too pregnant to run after them and whack them upside the head.
