Last night I shared my bed with two males (hangs head in shame). One tall, furry and rather gorgeous, the other small, fidgety and with the softest skin. The FB was ill last night. He's caught another cold and is feeling rather sorry for himself. When he gets a cold he tends to cry out in his sleep for hours unless he's in our bed and then he sleeps peacefully but in perpetual motion. At one point I woke up with him lying along the pillow; and he headbutted me a few times. Ouch!
Am feeling rather proud of myself. I've been writing a daily to do list and apart from finishing the cross stitch I've been ticking everything off'; and now the flat is getting tidy and my outstanding pile of things I mean to do is slowly shrinking.
What else has been going on? Well we've been playing a sort of game of tango with life; one step forward, one step back. Is that tango? or am I thinking of the Gay Gordons? So I'm due a refund in tax and they've sent me a cheque......but our post is going missing; bought material to make a quilt off Ebay.....and the parcel's gone missing; applying to buy a house....and the application has gone missing! Maybe using dancing as a metaphor is wrong. I should just declare myself the new Bermuda Triangle and have done with it. Perhaps tomorrow the postie will bring all the lost mail or perhaps a missing jet or yacht.
And on another note. Aunty, I can't add comments to your post (I am tempted to say that they go missing but they don't, they just don't save). I'm going to try and get MrV to invite me to join googlemail as it seems that's what I need.

Hi Velcro,
Alas, I have signed up for the Beta version, because it wouldn't let me save any comments to sites either unless I did. I think that's going to be the only way you can! What a pain.
I am very proud of you for the progress you have made with your "to do" list, see? I told you it would get done...and you still have a week to go! :)
how is it behaving? did you have any problems when you transferred over?
right I am off to ensnare the postman and see if he's got any post at all for me.
Hi Velcro,
So far, so good, but I haven't done any new posting since I changed, so we will see.
Did your post arrive?
Every time I come back you've renovated! This is beautiful, my dear; I love the blue stripes.
nope it didn't Aunty. But there was some good news - our housing application has been past up to the next level so (cross fingers) we may own our own home soon.
I rent, Bec, so am not allowed to decorate my home; this is the next best thing. Don't get too used to it, it may change again!
The Bermuda Triangle - I like that expression.
Our house has a black hole that everything goes missing in. :P
our house IS that black hole Carolyn. Everything disappears in here. My grandfather's christmas card is the latest example, vanished off my bedside table. Amazes me! I suspect when we move out we'll find all the stuff we've lost over the last 4 years.
My kids are banned from our bed. B.A.N.N.E.D. Not sharin' mah bed wit no wrigglin' space-hawgs.
What is a Gay Gordon?
well now how come I am showing as anonymous? Goes to show you should never say everything is "going well".
a Gay Gordon is not an alternative character from Thomas the Tank Engine but a ceidleh (scottish dancing but better spelt) dance.
so you are. weird. as has Carolyn.
Hi, thanks for your sympathetic comment on my blog. I'm interested that you'd like to live in Edinburgh - so it's just Crieff that you don't like? And I love it - but that's from the point of view of staying in the Hydro, not going to that school that one passes on the way down to the Strathearn Gallery and that rather nice sweet shop. Haven't you lived in a lot of places!? I've lived only in Edinburgh. How unadventurous.
Ceilidh, by the way.
thanks Isabelle for the spelling!
the sweetshop is called the Tuck Shop whether that is its real or informal name I don't know, but it was very handily placed for sneaking out to during a particularly boring lesson.
The last time I stayed at the Hydro was in 82 and they didn't have TVs in the bedrooms but instead had tv rooms, one for each channel (so 3 I guess!).
