Tubes of chocolate.

He slept. He slept. He slept. All through the night. Do I sound relieved? Do I sound more human? Yes! and Yes! He's still not back to nursery but is definately going back tomorrow. I'm not sure I can take one more day of watching Underground Ernie especially not the line in the theme tune "underground ernie, you know you're gonna get there, early" which makes me, after hearing it about 30 times in one day, find the writers of said theme, and very nicely ask them if they have ever actually travelled on the London Underground, home of the unique "Underground Minute" which can be as short as 30 seconds and last as long as 5 minutes. Of course if a dot appears next to the destination on the board, you've entered "Abandon Hope" territory which takes us to the line "you know your travel plans will work out just fine" hmmm.

Well today I plucked up enough courage to take me to Mothercare and I bought a pair of maternity jeans and a top. And, and this is the important bit, I haven't gone up a clothing size which is remarkable considering chocolate is treated around here like it is at least one of the major food groups, if not as important as air for sustaining life. Maybe Liz was right, maybe Maltesers really are a diet food. If so, bring em on!

(see now the title makes sense, if you know that the Underground is also called the Tube, which being terribly Londoncentric, I assume you do)

You mean that chocolate isn't a major food group.

alas not, though it really ought to be, after all it does contain some dairy though not much if you listen to German and Belgium chocolate experts.
I love your blog header photo. Are they your books or did you head to Charing X Road and go into one of the second hand shops there?

Who would have thought we'd be so ecstatic about sleeping children and chocolate!!!

Certainly not me.

And yet here I am, rejoicing for you and also for me because mine slept until 5am all night in his own bed! Ok, it may well have been courtesy of the trauma caused by jamming his finger in the car door but heck, you've got to take it for what it is!!

Now I'm off to hunt down a piece of chocolate!

I found the key to maternity wear was to find a number of pants that fit correctly. Tops are much more "flexible" as it were!

Maltesers a diet food - who said that?

Chocolate eaten while you're pregnant does not count as calories. It just means the baby wants some.

Both my babies had a terrible sweet-tooth.

the FB had an atrocious sweet tooth and demanded a massive bar of chocolate. His little brother seems to have a sweet tooth but not so bad.

Well done LC for sleeping through the night in his own bed! That must have been bliss for you and PC

I don't know what Liz's argument is, but I'd say Maltesers are a diet food because they can be broken and everyone knows that breakable food leaks out calories.

(so glad you got some sleep!)

I'm going to become a mountain climber and climb Mount Everest. It seems that when you do that, it is expected that you carry chocolate.

See, this is what's wrong with the world, there is one rule for them, and another rule for the rest of us.

Hey, K, that tornado didn't come near you, did it?

No it didn't. It was in North London and we were, at the time in Central but we got hit by freak gales, thunder, lightning, hale and finally sleet.
Am not happy though at the idea of tornadoes in London. There is nowhere in my flat that could act as a shelter!
