Dear Santa

I would really like a tranquiliser gun for my Christmas this year. The FB seems to have a secret stash of energy pills hidden about him and pogos about the house like Zebeedee from Magic Roundabout on speed(until he is asked to help tidy up the mess he's made at which point he collapses on the floor and complains he's run out of energy). It's a bit worrying, not to mention exhausting. This afternoon he was a little out of control as we had guests round. MrsT and the LMT drove the Count and I over to Kingston this morning, then came back for lunch and a natter. The FB, when he was picked up from nursery, thought that this would be a splendid occasion to show off all the fabulous social skills he has been taught. Or perhaps not.

Apologies MrsT. Next time I'll take him on a 5 mile run beforehand and try and tire him out.

Awwww don't be sorry Velcro! FB is a total love, he's one of the politest, best behaved 4 year olds I've ever met (and I mean that sincerely). The Count was simply adorable, I'm sorry my daughter was playing hard to get and sensitive when all he wanted was to be friends with her. Big kisses to both of them.

She has been asleep ever since I got home, this does not bode well for tonight when we want to sleep.

A tranquilliser gun is a fantastic idea! Boys need to run and climb and jump, that is for sure. The mothers-of-girls in my Mother's Group always looked slightly shocked when I said I had to leave the house e.v.e.r.y day. As they sat there with their girl-children quietly colouring in or playing with stickers.

It's great when they go to school - lord knows what they are doing during the school day, but I don't have to match their energy. I think my girls save up some of it for just before bedtime, but I think I get off lightly because they're not boys.

My grandson is the bursting out all over type too. His sister was a quiet little thing by comparison!
